The Frequency at Which LA is Captured

an urban la living timelapse journey

Live in Los Angeles for any length of time and you’ll know we move faster than the speed of life. So when we at Urban LA Living got the opportunity to work with filmmaker Giorgio Litt to make a timelapse video, we jumped on it.

historic buildings ~ modern renovations ~ classic charm
We renovate the historic and classic apartment buildings in Los Angeles and turn them into the perfect and
affordable apartments for modern angeleno’s. Our apartment buildings are located all over Los Angeles; Downtown LA, Koreatown, Hollywood, Beachwood Canyon, Miracle Mile, West Hollywood. We’ve got all the cool places covered and we wanted a video that shows the unique perspective of each los angeles neighborhood. Brevity Media Group spent months gathering footage from the different neighborhoods, rooftops, gardens and streets that our buildings are on and when he was all done we ended up with this beautiful minute and a half timelapse.

Like a good parent we’ll never admit to loving one of our apartment complexes more than the others but you can tell from the video that some are just a little more photogenic. Here are a few of our favorite shots.

chateau duval
We love the shot of Chateau Duval as it lights up at night. Chateau Duval is always a commanding presence but at night as the sky darkens and the windows light up it takes on a cozy appearance that you would just love to come home to. studios and one bedrooms for rent

the ancelle
The fountain at the Ancelle is always beautiful and tenants enjoy the babbling fountain at all hours. The Ancelle is one of our most historic buildings. It was built in 1926 by Mary Pickford as a hotel to house her movie crews. studios for rent

el rey
The staircase at El Rey is an iconic 20’s era feature that we are proud to show off. El Rey is also unique because of it’s surprisingly modern architecture. This apartment building was built in 1927 and the modern finishes added to it were cutting edge for the times. studios for rent

hollywood colony
The sunset views from Hollywood Colony capture all the romance of the movie business that so many move to Los Angeles to obtain. Hollywood Colony is one of our great “industry” apartment complexes. Adjacent to Hollywood Blvd’s famous Walk of Fame and a couple blocks from the infamous corner of Hollywood and Highland places Hollywood Colony dead center in Hollywood. It’s also right down the street from the Musicians Institute, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Stella Adler LA school and just a metro ride away from the USC campus. studios, one bedroom and two bedrooms for rent

the judson
We know that there are many rooftops in Downtown LA but we tend to be partial to the view from our 1907 building, The Judson. And talk about an entryway! The gold encrusted elevator doors in the Judson lobby are so ornate you almost have to don your cap when you see them. studio, one bedrooms, two bedrooms and penthouse for rent

We didn’t want to JUST include shots of our buildings (because who wants to see that many buildings) so we also included some of our favorite spots in Los Angeles; an afternoon at the Getty spent people watching, sunset over the valley from the Griffith Observatory, the lampposts at LACMA, and to top it all off the pulsing, breathing traffic of LA after dark.

We love this city and we love how it was captured in this video. We hope you love it too. Visit our website to see if one of our buildings is right for you! www.UrbanLALiving.com And Like our Facebook  page to get more great Urban La Living updates.
