Reviewing The 5 Best Karaoke Places in Koreatown LA

Koreatown has the best nightlife in all of LA, and it’s not K-Town without going for some karaoke!

In this guide,
Urban LA explores some of the most beloved noraebangs (song rooms) in the area. We’ll break down whether these karaoke places in Koreatown, LA are worth visiting, and more importantly, worth coming back to for an encore.

We’re looking at everything that matters when you’re with a group of 4–8 people: food, drinks, cleanliness, service, ambiance, room size, sound system, AC, parking, and overall availability.

Rosen Karaoke

Located at:  3488 W 8th St, Koreatown LA

Rosen Karaoke has been a Koreatown staple for decades, and it’s one of our favorite noraebangs. The 20 private rooms are modern, clean, and fitted with solid sound systems and a nice Korean-English song catalog (unfortunately, not updated). There are a few Spanish songs, too!

Weekday evenings or early weekends (6–8 PM) are the best times to visit if you want a smaller room and fewer crowds. Space can feel tight during peak hours, but the atmosphere is cozy and great for casual hangouts or birthdays.

Rooms come in packages that include food and drinks, great for groups, but limiting if you’re not looking to eat. Surprisingly, the food's a highlight. The popcorn chicken is especially good (goes great with beer or soju), and the menu covers more than just bar snacks. Parking is easy too, with valet and a paid lot in the back.

Do we recommend Rosen Karaoke?

Absolutely. Food is good. Ambiance is good. The space is nice and cozy. The benefits more than offset the drawbacks.

One heads-up: the karaoke remotes and consoles are all in Korean. The room on our left had translated stickers (which we wished we got), but otherwise, it’s a learning curve.

Thankfully, the staff is helpful and happy to walk you through the controls. Most packages include just two hours, so keep an eye on time if you don’t want to pay extra.

Glow Lounge & Karaoke

Located at: 3188 W 8th St, Koreatown LA

Glow Lounge, formerly known as Saba Saba, is one of the newer karaoke places in Koreatown, LA offering clean, private rooms for small groups, free valet, and affordable rates. While the outside may look a little worn, the inside is surprisingly tidy, welcoming, and comfortable.

Reservations are recommended, especially between 7–9 PM on weekends. Parking can be tricky if you’re street parking, but the free valet takes the stress out. Did we mention the FREE valet?

We also appreciated the hard liquor packages, solid food menu, and drink specials. You're not required to order a drink per person, which makes it even more budget-friendly.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They were very quick to walk you through the system or adjust sound settings when asked. Song selection is very good, although we found fewer English songs than expected. The audio system is excellent and even makes you sound better on the mic, which definitely adds to the fun.

Do we recommend the Glow Lounge?

Everything about this place is great, drinks, menu, ambiance, karaoke system, and most of all, price. We’re already looking forward to coming back. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better private karaoke spot in K-Town. Also, FREE valet parking. Who could ask for more?

Note:
At the time of this review, Glow Lounge is temporarily closed, likely for renovations.

Their Yelp page mentioned plans to reopen next year, and based on our experience, we’d definitely return. The laid-back vibe, good service, and overall value make it a great low-key karaoke place in Koreatown.

The Venue

Located at: 3470 Wilshire Blvd, Koreatown LA

Tucked beneath Wilshire in a stylish underground lounge, The Venue blends upscale dining with private karaoke. We can confidently say it’s perfect for nights when you want to do both.

Open daily from 6 PM to 2 AM, it offers 13 private rooms that fit anywhere from 10 to 50 guests, all set within a chic, gold-accented space. For the best experience, we recommend going midweek (Wednesday or Thursday between 7–9 PM) to avoid the weekend rush while still getting great service.

First off, the food is fantastic. We tried the tuna tacos and nachos, easily some of the best things on the menu. Drinks lean on the expensive side, but they’re great and perfect for sharing with a group. If you spend over $30, you can also get free parking behind the venue with validation.

Onto the karaoke; rooms are clean, spacious, and surprisingly easy to use. Audio quality is solid, and the staff was quick to help when we had questions. While the song catalog was missing a few tracks we wanted, the experience overall was smooth.

Do we recommend The Venue?

100% yes. The Venue is great on food, ambiance, and service. Worth a return trip (or two).

Both the restaurant and karaoke portions can each stand on their own, which makes The Venue a solid go-to for parties or family get-togethers. Overall, one of the solid karaoke places in Koreatown, LA.

SoopSok Karaoke & Restaurant

Located at: 4070 W 3rd St, Koreatown LA

SoopSok has been a Koreatown karaoke staple since 1986 and was relaunched in 2022, keeping its original charm alive. The vibe is casual and a bit divey (even the owner admits this), but it’s well-loved by the community.

It’s open daily from 6 PM to 2 AM, with private rooms that comfortably fit about 10 people. The best time to go is early weeknights or around 7 PM on weekends before it gets crowded and warm.

Each package includes two hours of karaoke, drinks (including alcohol, soda, and water), and one entrée from a menu that includes bibimbap, fried chicken, and noodles. There’s a bar just outside the rooms for quick refills, which is super convenient for our group since everyone can just stand up and get their choice of drink.

Do we recommend SoopSok Karaoke?

If your group wants a casual, no-frills karaoke place locals love returning to, SoopSok is a solid option.

A few heads-up: the AC could be better, especially if you're coming with a group of five or more. But parking is free, and the check-in desk clearly explains any charges upfront—something we really appreciated.

Cafe Brass Monkey

Located at: 3440 Wilshire Blvd, Koreatown LA

Established in 1971, Café Brass Monkey is Koreatown’s iconic dive-bar karaoke spot with open-mic sessions going until the last call at 2 AM.

Unlike the other karaoke places in Koreatown, there’s no private rooms here, just a stage, a mic, and a lively crowd.  Get there by 8 PM on weekends to grab a spot near the action. The place can get packed quickly, even on weekdays.

Food is surprisingly good and comes out fast. We liked the pastrami more than anything else on the menu. Expect loud sing-alongs, dancing, and a packed house around midnight. Drinks are strong, bartenders are quick, and the ambiance here is pure, unfiltered fun.

Do we recommend Cafe Brass Monkey?

Like SoopSok, Café Brass Monkey is one of those local gems that’s worth visiting at least once. If you want a classic LA karaoke night without the frills, this is the spot. The rustic, autograph-covered walls give it charm, and the parking lot out front is a rare bonus in K-Town.

However, it’s definitely loud, and you’ll probably end up shouting to your friends between songs. The sound system isn’t perfect and the queue can get chaotic, but the massive song selection and energetic crowd make up for it. Tip the KJ if you want your track to come up faster.

Wrapping Up

Overall, these are five of the best karaoke places in Koreatown, Los Angeles that we (or our renters) have personally tried and recommend. Most of these spots are also conveniently located near our available apartments, which is why they tend to be local favorites.

Of course, there may be other spots out there that are just as good (or even better) than the ones listed here, we just haven’t visited them yet!
